☀️🐶 Heat Can Hurt—Protect Your Dog from Hot Weather Risks! 🐾🔥
Dogs don’t sweat like we do, and overheating can happen FAST—even on days that don’t seem too hot.
🚨 Know the Signs of Heatstroke:
😰 Excessive panting
😓 Drooling
🥴 Lethargy or confusion
🚫 Vomiting or collapse
💡 Prevention Tips:
🌳 Walk Early or Late – Avoid midday heat
💧 Hydration is Key – Always have fresh water
🐾 Paw Check! – Test pavement with your hand—too hot for you = too hot for them
🚗 NEVER Leave Dogs in Cars – Even a few minutes can be deadly
🆒 Cool Breaks – Provide shade, fans, or cooling mats

Heatstroke is a life-threatening emergency. If your dog shows symptoms, move them to a cool spot and call your vet immediately.

We’re excited to spotlight one of our incredible veterinary assistants — Chelsea!

Chelsea brings dedication and compassion to everything she does. Outside of work, she loves exploring the great outdoors through camping, hiking, and kayaking with her husband and their adventurous pup, Riggs — a one-year-old Husky-Shepherd mix rescued from the remote community of Moose Factory.

When she's not out adventuring, Chelsea enjoys quiet moments at home with Casper, her affectionate three-year-old rescue cat, curled up with a good book.

Chelsea also has a strong passion for pet nutrition and proudly leads our Nutrition Team, helping clients make informed, healthy choices for their furry companions.

We’re so grateful to have Chelsea on our team — thank you for all that you do! 💙🐾
