So excited to add this to my kit! It’s a hot stapler. Thank you Hyperflow/Snap-on for ordering it in for me! This tool is going to used for crack repairs. It works by stabilizing the hoof preventing crack progression and allows cracks to grow out.

Winter is coming don’t forget about your gelding’s sheath health. Regular sheath cleanings every 6 months to a year is important to your gelding’s health and well-being. I removed a large blockage(also referred to as a ‘bean’) from this gelding that made it difficult to urinate correctly. I also removed dirt, debris and natural buildup from this gelding. Both the blockage and debris can cause irritation and potentially infections if not removed. This is also a great time to check for abnormalities in your gelding’s sheath that may need to be brought up to your vet.

Why is regular sheath cleanings important? Geldings cannot clean themselves. They get a build up of wax and dirt. This can cause infection, troubles with urinating and general discomfort. This is a bean from a gelding I cleaned today. He felt much better after this.
