Capeston Mr Darcy is coming up on his 5th birthday and really starting to mature into a lovely horse. Still more to come, but he’s developing exactly how we had hoped.

An Irish Draught stallion with a striking black dun (grulla) colour, he brings movement, and a genuine, trainable temperament.

Had some fun this afternoon putting him back to work and he reminded us why we like him so much, with his good brain, willing attitude, with a presence that continues to strengthen as he grows into himself.

Foals are eligible to be registered as IDSH with the Irish Draught Horse Society of Canada, regardless of the dam’s breeding.

Now standing at stud in Ontario.

Purebred Irish Draught

We are now offering Capeston Mr Darcy to a few outside mares this season. He is a purebred black dun/grulla Irish Draught stallion. As we wanted his first foal, he’s been just used for our own mares so far, and one has now been successful on his first attempt (waiting for second).

Mr Darcy is 4 years old, 16.3hh, expected to mature 17hh. His sire is Cloneyhea Spellbound C1 and dam is Black Cat Kelly. He has a puppy dog personality, and a quiet nature. He has a straight and correct movement, with a ground covering stride. He will be inspected this Fall in Canada.
