It truly is the best thing when you hear the positive recommendations someone shares about your business 🩵

After receiving another wonderful phone call for a new client to register and book their pup for daycare after a coworker telling them “they are amazing” and “take your dog to them” we wanted to take a moment and thank all our amazing clients who recommend us to their friends, family, coworkers, etc. Word of mouth really is the most effective way of advertisement and you guys have been doing this for us over the last 4 years so much! We always smile on the other end of the phone when we hear “I’ve heard such great things about your guys”. We truly feel like we are accomplishing exactly what we want to be when we hear those words! So thank you so much to every single one of our clients for all the positive support. You mean the world to us 🩵🐶🐾

🐕Thursday Training Tip #2: Teaching “Sit”

🐾How to Teach Sit
1. Get your dog’s attention
Hold a small treat close to their nose.
2. Lure into position
Slowly move the treat up and slightly back over their head.
As their head goes up, their bottom will naturally go down.
3. Say the word
The moment their butt touches the floor, say “Sit”.
4. Reward immediately
Verbal reward, then treat!
5. Repeat short sessions
Practice 5–10 times, 1–2 minutes per session, a few times a day.

🐶Helpful tips!
• Don’t push their hips down! Let them choose the sit.
• If they jump, lower the treat and move slower.
• Practice in a quiet space first, then add distractions later.

Be extra cautious with your pups on these cold days🥶❄️

❄️ Cold Induced Injuries in Pets ❄️

Cold weather can be tougher on pets than it seems. Ice, snow, and freezing temperatures can lead to paw pad burns, cracked pads, torn nails, muscle strains, and even frostbite, especially during winter walks or outdoor play.

⚠️ Watch for:
• Limping or reluctance to walk
• Licking or chewing at paws
• Swelling, redness, or cracking
• Sudden pain after being outside

If your pet is showing signs of injury or discomfort, don’t wait, early care can prevent bigger problems. Our urgent care team is here to help keep your pets safe and comfortable this winter. 🐾

Today is National Pet Travel Safety Day!🚙

One thing I also talk about in my classes is car safety! Here are some Car Safety Tips for Dogs:
• Always use a seat belt, crate, or dog car seat
• When attaching a seat belt clip to your dog always use a harness, not a collar
• Do not keep your dog on your lap
• Have your dogs ID tag on them!
• Have your dogs leash, and water for them!

Safe car rides = happy pups! 🦮🐾

A new year = new things 🥰
We are starting off 2026 with something new! Thursday Training tips!🐶

🐕Thursday Training Tip #1: Reward the Behavior You Want (Right Away!)

🐶Dogs learn fastest when the reward comes immediately after the good behavior!
Using a verbal reward first, then a treat or favorite toy! Timing matters!

🐾How to do it:
• Give the reward within 1–2 seconds of the behavior
• Be consistent, reward the same behavior every time at first
• Keep training sessions short and positive (5–10 minutes is perfect)

👏🏼Why it works:
Your dog connects the reward with the exact action you liked, making it much more likely they’ll repeat it!

✨Do you have a specific skill you’d like a tip on? Let us know in the comments for our future Thursday Training Tips!
