✨ COMFORT UPGRADE ALERT! ✨🐾

We’ve recently added washable, waterproof dog mats to all of our suites! Not only do these mats provide a softer, more comfortable surface for paws and joints, but they also feature a beautiful brown design that perfectly complements Bark Inn’s warm, earthy atmosphere🤎🌿

These mats are specifically designed for dogs and help catch water and food spills throughout the day. The mats absorb moisture and make cleanup much quicker and easier, helping us maintain the clean, sanitary environment that our guests deserve🧼✨

As Bark Inn continues to add more improvements, we’re also excited to offer both our 5x5 Premium Suites ($40/night) and our new 4x4 Standard Suites ($35/night) with sibling rates being $10 less than the standard suite price. Allowing us to fully accommodate all sizes, sibling groups and needs while maintaining the same personalized care for every guest🐶❤️

A friendly reminder that despite our expanded setup, our booking system remains capped at 6 dogs at a time, meaning we cannot overbook. This allows us to continue providing the safe, attentive, and individualized boutique care that Bark Inn is known for🥰

🚨BIG BALL ALERT!🚨

Max has officially entered "Beast Mode," but someone might need to remind him that he’s a Shorkie, not a Great Dane! 🦖⚽️ He found a ball that is literally bigger than he is, and he is absolutely convinced he can herd it across the yard😆

Meanwhile, his sister Bella and our friend Piper the Snorkie are sitting back on the sidelines like two refined ladies watching a chaotic comedy show. 🍿🐶 Total "we don’t know him" vibes from the girls today!

📢🐾 Community Update 🐾📢

I wanted to share a quick update regarding our kennel limit increase application.

At the most recent Council meeting, the item was postponed after it was determined that a zoning bylaw amendment is required first to properly align with the existing kenneling bylaw. Because of this, I have formally withdrawn my application for now and will revisit it once the zoning process has been completed. ❤️

The reason for this request was to create a sustainable way to continue supporting stray and abandoned animals through Bark Inn Boutique Boarding. The plan included dedicating one kennel space specifically to rescue work, with all revenue from that kennel going directly into a rescue fund to help cover food, supplies, and care for animals in need. 🐶🐱

For now, Bark Inn will continue operating within its current approved capacity while this process moves forward. I remain hopeful that once the zoning amendment is complete, I will be able to reapply and continue working toward expanding services for animals in our community. 🏡🐾

📢 EXCITING UPDATES TONIGHT! 🐾

We have some incredibly important items on the town council agenda tonight at 7:00 PM, and we would love for our amazing community to tune in!

Here is what’s being discussed:
✨ Our Boarding Limit Increase: Council is officially looking at the bylaw update to increase our boutique boarding capacity from 6 to 10 dogs. This will allow us to help so many more local families and their beloved pups!
✨ Local Rescue Agreement: They are also discussing the official agreement between the town and our rescue arm, *Beyond Bark Inn: Rescue, Tips & Events*. This agreement is a massive step forward for establishing a structured, safe, and compassionate network for stray and vulnerable animals right here in our community.

Whether you've boarded your fur-babies with us, supported our rescue efforts, or just love what we do for local pets, your virtual presence means the world to us.

🪵🐕 Big Things Are Happening at Bark Inn! 🐕🪵

Our brand-new 6ft wood privacy fence is officially complete, and the dogs are absolutely loving it! 🎉🐾 It provides maximum security, complete privacy, and gives our yard a beautiful, clean look. 🤩✨

🔍 A Quick Yard Update:
Due to local bylaws, we had to start the fence at the front corner of the house rather than along the full property line. While this shifted about 20 feet of yard space to the front, our main secure play yard is still an impressive 5,000 square feet of room for running, sniffing, exploring, and playing! 🐕💨🌿

👀 But We’re Just Getting Started…

We have some exciting enrichment projects in the works for our guests this summer! 🤫🐾

🌿 Additional enrichment features designed to encourage safe play, confidence-building, and mental stimulation

Everything will be fully installed throughout the summer, giving our dogs even more ways to have fun during their stay! 🐶❤️

🚧 Front Yard Progress! 🚧

The transformation has officially begun! 🙌🏻 Our front fence and landscaping project is well underway, and the old chain-link fencing is gone! ✨

In its place, we’re creating a beautiful new 1,800-square-foot enclosed front yard, complete with matching wood fencing. This additional space will provide even more room for enrichment activities, training exercises, confidence-building adventures, and plenty of supervised fun for our guests! 🌻🐾💚

We can’t wait to show you the finished result!

Meet our beloved Miss Bella 💖—an 8-year-old sweetheart who proves that age is just a number! Though she may be considered a “senior,” Bella brings a spark of joy and energy that lights up our entire pack every single time she stays with us.

Bella has been part of the Bark Inn family since 2024, and honestly, we can’t imagine our boarding crew without her. She joins us every month for her special two-week stay while her pet parent is away, and it truly feels like welcoming home an old friend each time she trots through our doors.

Believed to be a Husky/Collie mix, Bella carries the best of both worlds—intelligence, independence, and a playful spirit. She was rescued in her younger days, and her journey has shaped her into the gentle, loving girl we adore today. There’s something extra special about rescue pups, and Bella’s kind heart shines through in everything she does 🐾💕

Don’t let her age fool you—this lovely lady still has plenty of zoomies left in her! Bella lives for her plush squeaky ball toys and will happily show off her playful side, darting across the yard with bursts of puppy-like excitement. One moment she’s calmly strolling around supervising the pack, and the next—zoom!—she’s in full play mode, inviting everyone to join in her fun.

When she’s not busy being the life of the party, Bella enjoys the finer things in life. Winter is her absolute favorite season (a true Canadian girl at heart ❄️), but she also appreciates a warm, sunny day stretched out on the deck, soaking up the rays like the queen she is ☀️

Bella is also a bit of a foodie—meaty treats and tasty chews are always met with enthusiasm and the sweetest little tail wags.
