Our roots in cattle production began with a focus on prospect steers and heifers for young show families. In fact, the foundation of our herd was built around The Brothers From Different Mothers Prospect Steer and Heifer Sale, an annual event we hosted 14 times! Those sales helped launch countless young cattle enthusiasts, with graduates going on to become champion steers and heifers across Western Canada and as far away as California.
That chapter played a defining role in shaping our program, and while prospect steers are no longer the primary focus today, the cattle and genetics that produced those champions still roam our pastures. Every year we continue to offer a select few steers for 4-H and prospect projects, carrying forward that tradition and connection with the next generation.
For us, it’s about more than cattle. It’s about sharing our passion with young people who want to learn, grow, and show. Our gates are always open for tours, and we’re proud to welcome families to see the cattle that remain at the heart of our story.
