Milo is a 1.5 yr old black lab who’s been in and out of the shelter since July.
He is an energetic friendly guy with a lot of love to give, but he needs a home that can provide him with the consistency, training, and leadership he requires to thrive.
Milo has been returned to the shelter twice due to behavioral issues, so we are looking for a committed adopter who understands the challenges of working with a dog who has not yet learned proper socialization and impulse control. He is not a dog for first-time owners-he needs someone who is patient, consistent, and ready to invest time and effort into his training and rehabilitation.
A few things:
Dog selective: He has a history of being picky with other dogs, so he needs to be with the right dog or on his own.
Strong leadership: Milo will thrive in a home where his owners are confident, experienced, and can provide clear boundaries and structure.
Despite his challenges, Milo is a sweet and loving dog who has so much potential to be a loyal companion. He's looking for a dedicated adopter who can give him the chance he deserves. They say third time is a charm 😉

All animals available for adoption at HSHPE have been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered, and have been treated for internal/external parasites.
