I truly think today was the perfect way to close out my Pay What You Can Mother’s Day Minis. 💙

Today I had the honour of photographing this beautiful family — and meeting Tina. Tina is a PSW currently working at the hospice where my mom spent the final week of her life before she passed from colon cancer.

Standing there talking with her felt emotional in a way I can’t fully explain.

The hospice holds some of the heaviest, most heartbreaking memories of my life… but also some of the most compassionate. In the middle of grief, fear, exhaustion, and heartbreak, those workers showed our family kindness, dignity, gentleness, and care when we needed it most.

At the end of the session, Tina hugged me and thanked me for what I’m doing with these sessions and donations. And all I could think was… no. Thank YOU. Thank you for sitting beside families on the hardest days of their lives. Thank you for being steady hands and soft hearts in moments that feel impossible to survive.

I genuinely believe hospice workers are angels walking among us.

Knowing that proceeds from these sessions will be donated back to the hospice makes this feel so deeply full circle for me. What started as a simple Mother’s Day idea became something so much bigger — a way to honour my mom, give back to the place that cared for her, and connect with truly incredible people along the way.

Tonight my heart feels very full. 💙

There's something so special about the quiet moments. . .
the little hands exploring, the soft snuggles, the way they fit perfectly in your arms.

This session felt like slowing down time for just a little while. Soaking in the in-between moments that don't last nearly long enough.

The way he looks at you, the way you hold him close. . . this is the kind of love you'll want to remember forever.

The cuddles, the curiosity, the way she looks at her mama like she's her whole world. . . Yeah . . . this one got me.

These are the moments you wish you could bottle up forever, so we freeze them instead.

Not every session is perfectly posed . . . and honesty the real, playful, sassy sessions are my favorite. They show you and your child(ren) as they should be.

This session was full of energy, movement and so much personality and hidden in all that were the sweetest little moments that tell their story perfectly.

Today was my second day of Mother's Day Mini's so a lot of sneak peeks will be coming the next day or two. My first family was so amazing! Little man has the best laugh and once the bubbles came out, it was watch out everyone :) They were also so thoughtful and brought their home made butter tarts.
