💙🐾 This Vet Tech Appreciation Month, we’re giving a HUGE shoutout to our mighty vet techs!

From the early mornings to late nights, they’re the heart and backbone of our clinic. They comfort nervous patients, hold squirmy animals, monitor surgeries, run lab work, administer medications, educate clients, and so much more—all with patience, skill, and dedication.

Our vet techs are problem-solvers, caregivers, cheerleaders, and the glue that keeps our team running smoothly. Every bandage they wrap, every paw they soothe, and every life they touch is a reminder of how incredible they are.

Griffin is a Maine C**n with a special trait called polydactyly—it means he was born with extra toes! While most cats have 18 toes, Griffin has 6 on each paw, making for a total of 24 toes. 🐱✨

Polydactyly is harmless and especially common in breeds like Maine C**ns. The only thing to watch out for is those extra toenails—it’s easy to miss them in all that fluff, so regular nail trims are important to keep paws healthy.

We think it just makes Griffin extra unique (and extra good at “high sixes” 👋).

🐾 Small animal emergencies: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (after-hours fees apply)
🐄 Large animal emergencies: 24 hours (after-hours fees apply)

🐾 Now Offering Telemedicine Appointments! 🐾

Beausejour Animal Hospital is excited to announce that we're now booking telemedicine appointments—bringing veterinary care to your home when in-person visits aren’t an option. 💻 📱

A telemedicine appointment permits veterinarians to establish a Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) without a hands-on exam, under specific conditions. This allows us to provide care in limited, qualifying situations, including for new or existing patients who haven't had an in-person visit in the last 12 months.

🩺 When is Telemedicine an Option?
• Your pet is for personal use only
• You have limited or no reasonable access to in-person veterinary care
• A compelling medical need is documented
• The care required can be safely and effectively provided remotely

Please note:

⚠️ We cannot prescribe certain medications

⚠️ Telemedicine does not apply to herds, flocks, or schools of animals

⚠️Not all doctors are able to provide this service

Your pet’s safety, privacy, and health are always our top priority. We follow strict protocols to ensure that telemedicine is used appropriately and effectively, including secure technology, clear communication, and access to in-person follow-up care if needed.
