A rabies‑positive bat was recently confirmed in the Haldimand–Norfolk/Hamilton area. It’s a good reminder that rabies exposure can happen closer to home than many people think.

Many assume indoor cats aren’t at risk, but bats can occasionally enter homes through open doors, windows, garages, attics, or small openings.

Why keep your pet’s rabies vaccine up to date?�🐾Indoor pets can still encounter bats/wildlife indoors�⚠️Rabies is almost always fatal once symptoms appear�📜Rabies vaccination is required by law in Ontario�❤️Helps keep your pet, and your family safe
