It may still feel like summer, but with August here, it’s not too soon to start helping your pets adjust to back-to-school changes!

As the household gets back into school mode, your pets may need some extra support to adjust to the change in routine. Here’s how you can help:

✨ Smooth Transitions:
💛 Ease separation anxiety by practicing short time-apart sessions.
🕰️ Shift feeding, walking, and playtimes to match the school schedule.
🏃‍♂️ Make sure they get plenty of exercise before and after school hours.

🏡 Making Alone Time Easier:
🧩 Try food puzzles, treat-dispensing toys, or hide-and-seek games for mental stimulation.
🎵 Leave out cozy blankets, worn clothing with your scent, or calming music for comfort
📱 Consider pet cams to monitor behavior or check in during the day.

Today is all about keeping our furry family members safe in case of a fire. As part of our Home Safety Campaign, we’re sharing a few simple steps to help protect pets during emergencies.

🔥 Fire Prevention Checklist
✅ Test smoke detectors regularly. Place one on every floor
✅ Use pet alert window clings so responders know how many pets are inside
✅ Create an evacuation plan that includes your pets

🍳 Kitchen Safety Series
✅ Use stove k**b covers to prevent accidental burns
✅ Keep counters clear of food and hazards
✅ Protect electrical cords from curious paws

🚨 Emergency Ready
✅ Know where your pet carriers are (and keep them easily accessible)
✅ Backup important documents (vet records, microchip info)
✅ Set a family meeting point in case of evacuation
