A rabies‑positive bat was recently confirmed in the Haldimand–Norfolk/Hamilton area. It’s a good reminder that rabies exposure can happen closer to home than many people think.
Many assume indoor cats aren’t at risk, but bats can occasionally enter homes through open doors, windows, garages, attics, or small openings.
