Is there a contest for the longest tongue? I feel like there has to be. We have a serious contender here.
After a little online research, I learned the world record is held by a boxer and it's 5.46 inches, measured from the tip of the dogs nose to the tip of the tongue while it's sticking out comfortably extended. I think we have serious measurements to take here!

Dogs tongues have quite a few less taste buds than humans, and dogs rely more heavily on their sense of smell when deciding what to eat. They use their tongues for so many things besides eating and drinking, including keeping cool, grooming, various communication. A big old sloppy kisser for their people is the best. Except sometimes it's the worst, depending on the situation😂
