Ticks are especially active this season, and prevention matters for both pets and people.
We’re sharing this helpful Health Canada video with simple ways to reduce ticks around your home and property, including keeping grass short, clearing leaf litter, trimming shrubs, and creating safer buffer zones around wooded or overgrown areas. Health Canada also notes that reported Lyme disease cases in Canada have continued to rise in recent years.
At Out N About Pet Care, we take tick safety seriously.
After walks and outdoor adventures, our team performs a nose-to-toes tick check before returning dogs home. If we find a tick, you’ll know right away. We will bag it, tag it, and leave it on site so you can follow up with your veterinarian if needed.
