My name is Randi Fisher and I am a graduate of Heartland Horseshoeing School in Lamar, Missouri. I graduated the Advanced Farrier course which was taught by the well respected Chris Gregory(You can Google him :D). He is a world champion blacksmith and very passionate about creating well balanced and very knowledgeable future farriers! I love helping out the horse/donkey in any way that I can to ma

ke sure he/she is sound or at least comfortable! I am quite easy to get along with and I speak to you, not above you and explain to you what I am doing and why I think it will benefit your horse/mini/donkey etc. I have no troubles with corrective shoeing and trimming. HOWEVER, I do believe in doing what is best for the animal and unlike some farriers I will NOT bite off more than I can chew. If I need a second opinion from another Farrier I am not afraid to ask them questions or even ask them for help! After all, life is all about learning! One thing I have always believed in is, cheap work isn't good and good work isn't cheap. With that being said I feel my rates are reasonable and competitive to other Farriers in the area. I have experience with Donkeys, Pot Belly Pigs, Mules and Draft horses. I really hope you enjoy my photo's, meme's, cute pictures and fun facts on my page!

Frasier brewed a major abscess in his one front foot. We removed the shoe to allow it to drain. Reapplied the shoe and added a small drainage/flush hole in the impression pad. Huge shoutout to for radiographing his feet to see what lies ahead. As well as, his amazing owner who treated, packed and wrapped the foot until it drained so I could put the shoe back on- and probably snuck in a few treats for him!🥕

I’d say his name is fitting considering it is a male given name that stems from Latin (fēlix, felicis) and means "happy" or "lucky".
He’s super lucky to be in such an amazing home now! ☘️🤍🍀

Here’s Phase 2 and Phase 3(reset of phase 2) for ! After 5 months of pads and casting, Libby hit a huge rebound. Her coffin bones are rotated to the range of 7-10 degrees in place of the 24-26 degrees we started with in August!

We decided to try a new method of modern ‘shoeing’ it’s called . So far the results have been positive. It’s still too new to base a concrete conclusion of the product. But, so far so good!

Welcome to . Our journey with Libby started in August of 2019. Libby has a chronic case of laminitis. As you can see her coffin bone was millimeters from prolapsing through the bottom of the hoof. 🚫⬇️🚫 ✅Phase one consisted of trimming the hooves, taking Xrays to see what’s happening inside the foot. With the 20+ degrees of rotation we needed to apply pads and casting material to support the structure of the hoof while the new stronger laminae grows down.

One of my little tricks of the trade is to place play-dough to the back of the foot after applying the pour in pad. This stops the product from oozing out before it’s cured. 💨
