New Horserizons

New Horserizons Equine Assisted Learning activities provides a fun learning environment to improve communication, leadership and problem solving skills while "horsing around".

Equine Assisted Learning will provide a hands on learning approach using horses and working on the ground. No need to be scared of these big animals, they will actually help you ! If you suffer from Post Traumatic Stress / Operational Stress Injury, come out to the barn, horse around and work on making a step forward with a horse. If you are looking for a different way to reinforce your team's ability to communicate and work together, give us a call.

10 years ago I started on a path that led me to meet incredible people.

This past week end I was rewarded with a certifcate of experience and growth.

This is not a badge of honor for me.
It's a badge of commitment to keep getting better at what I do.

Thank you Tracey Evans for being a mentor and a friend, and thank you to the Cartier Farms - Equine Assisted Learning crew for designing an amazing curriculum and trusting other people with it.

Three days. Countless conversations. So much learning.

This weekend, I had the privilege of spending time with an incredible group of Cartier Equine Assisted Learning facilitators and business owners, all committed to growing, learning, and refining our craft. The focus was continuing education—honing our skills, deepening our understanding, and returning to the foundations that make this work so impactful.

What energized me most was being surrounded by like-minded people who share a passion for learning, a respect for the wisdom of horses, and a genuine commitment to helping others grow.

Beyond the workshops and discussions, it was the connections that made this weekend special—meeting new peopel, reconnecting with familiar faces, exchanging ideas, and being reminded that we are part of a supportive and inspiring community.

I return home with new insights, renewed motivation, and a full heart. Grateful for everyone who contributed their knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm throughout the weekend.

Here's to continuing to learn, grow, and make a difference—one horse, one conversation, and one experience at a time.

Thank you Dreamwinds Equine Assisted Learning Centre and Cartier Farms - Equine Assisted Learning for coming to Ontario for this.

Join us for an upcoming Equine Assisted Learning session during our One Hoof at a Time program on June 8 at 5:00 PM.

This session is designed for active and retired professionals in uniform who are affected by PTSD, offering a grounded, experiential space to reconnect with presence, regulation, and trust—alongside horses who respond to authenticity over performance.

Through guided interaction and reflection, participants are invited to explore clarity, communication, and self-awareness at their own pace, in a respectful and supportive environment.

This week is about new partnerships. We took over the arena at our friends at Foxwood Farms, Bradford, Ontario for the first time, to host an Equine Assisted Learning day for a new client, a large corporate team who wanted us to bring clarity, focus, presence, and team optimization to the table.

Through hands-on activities with the horses, participants explored how communication, leadership, and collaboration shift when clarity replaces pressure and presence replaces assumption. Horses have a unique way of giving immediate, honest feedback — making small changes in focus and energy impossible to ignore.

It was inspiring to watch the team strengthen trust, refine communication, and discover how aligned leadership creates better outcomes for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to this incredible group for their openness, engagement, and willingness to step outside the usual meeting room environment.

Thank you to everyone who made this day possible, and to my mentor Tracey of Dreamwinds Equine Assisted Learning Centre for trusting me to carry the torch for her.

🐎 Week 9: What 10 Years Has Taught Me

Ten years in business has taught me:
• Growth isn’t linear.
• Confidence is built through action.
• People are braver than they believe.
• Horses will always tell the truth.
• Connection heals more than correction ever will.

This work has changed me just as much as it’s changed others.
And I’m deeply grateful.
