This stunning mummified guinea fowl head sold last weekend at O&C, but how could I not post it still?! I just love how prehistoric they look, they remind me of small cassowaries ✨️

Fun little fact about myself, I have known absolutely nothing about birds my whole life (other than blue jays, robins, chickadees, etc.), so my last pick up is what taught me what a guinea fowl is for the first time 😅 this beauty was deceased upon arrival when I pulled up and although a few other critters got at it before I did, I was still able to save and preserve it's head, one wing, and both feet.

These beauties have both been formalin fixed, leeched in distilled water, and are now stored in 70% isopropyl alcohol. They were donated to me from an educational center, which focuses on reptile and amphibian education.

All I have to say after the second year at the Oddities & Curiosities Expo in Toronto is, WOW x100!! 😭🖤
The crowd this expo brings out blows my mind, not even just in quantity, but also because of the amount of supportive individuals who show up, eager to see and learn about all of our weird and unique stuff.
Since the weekend was busy from beginning to end, I didn't get many pics, sadly. However, I do want to say the biggest thank you to everyone who came out to support the amazing vendors at this event, each is unique in their own way and it's beautiful to see in person!

Also huge shoutout to Dan at , and Joel from !! Not only are you both some of the coolest people in the community, you're also two of the most authentic, down to earth human beings I have had the opportunity to cross paths with and call my friends. I'm so grateful to have gotten to know like minded individuals who share this passion so deeply, it's beautiful to see and speak about.
We won't speak on my awkward stance though 😅 although we were caught off guard, I'm grateful to have the picture as a memory of such an amazing weekend with even better people!

Time for a short break and it'll be back to working to prepare for next year!! ✨️🖤✨️

Juvenile boa constrictor 🐍
This beautiful baby boa was fully processed, mummified, then displayed in-house, and the results have proven to be one of my favourites so far!! 😭 I've changed my drying process a bit over the last few months and it's paid off, keeping specimens appearing more lively and less emaciated.

Come see this sweet babe (and many more) at the in Toronto this weekend!! We will be there all weekend, 10am-6pm Saturday & 10am-4pm Sunday ✨️

This sweet babe was one of many leopard geckos that I received through a large donation not too long ago. I will be making a very delayed separate post, discussing this donation and the importance of proper care with exotics - or any animal for that matter.
I have seven more that have been fixed with formalin, leeched in distilled water, and are now stored in these globes in 70% isopropyl, looking for their new homes to protect and cherish them forever! ✨️

Adoption fee • $85 + shipping, if needed.

This stunning babe has been processed, mummified, and is now mounted to a hanging wooden base, which has been painted black to make her stand out even more. Surrounding her are faux flowers for longevity and preserved reindeer moss 🍃

This stunning chain necklace includes a degreased and lightly whitened coyote sacrum in the middle. It still has a few faint green stains on it, making it even more beautiful!

Stunning yellow and white corn snake - if anyone knows the morph, please let me know!! I've been searching and can't seem to figure it out 🐍✨️

I worked on this beautiful specimen recently, and they're currently fixing in formalin. The first two pictures show after the injections and the last two shows before. I love seeing how much better they look once they're processed, it tends to help them look less emaciated and alive again!

This beauty will be ready to go as of June 13th!
I can send pictures of this one in the jar upon request. I'll also post the final pics once they're done, of course!

Joey 🐐
This adorable XL baby goat has been lovingly named, Joey. He has spent quite some time with me already, between fixing him with formalin and then going through the leeching process. I'm so happy to say, Joey is finally ready to find his new home!!

Although it's really hard to get decent pictures of him, he has the cutest curly black fur, and before preserving him, his fur was sooo soft.
