On this Remembrance Day, we give thanks to God for the brave souls who laid down their lives so that we might live in freedom and peace. As John 15:13 reminds us, ā€œGreater love has no one than this: to lay down oneā€™s life for oneā€™s friends.ā€ May we honour their sacrifice by walking in faith, love, and gratitude, keeping their light alive through our actions and prayers. Lest we forget.

Hunting memories are passed down through generations, and we love to hear them. This buck by far is the oldest, over 100 years old!

John Thackeray shared the story of this buck whitetail, and how his mother recalled it hanging in her family home when she was a young child; a buck that her grandfather had shot. Over the years, this has been passed down, along with the story. Throughout the years the massive rack has remained timeless and a monster, but the mount has aged. Last fall, John felt it was time to have him remounted. Kyle Waldie, a close family friend has harvest a buck last fall too, and gave the cape to John.

We had the pleasure to remount this buck so that the story and trophy can be passed down for another 100 years.

This is Brenda's first buck after 20 years of hunting!
