Atlantic Canada Coastal and Estuarine Science Society

Atlantic Canada Coastal and Estuarine Science Society A forum for members of the Atlantic Canada Coastal & Estuarine Science Society (ACCESS) to chat & network before, during, & after annual ACCESS meetings.

ACCESS is a non-profit scientific organization that functions to:

1. promote research in estuarine and coastal waters of Atlantic Canada
2. promote communication on matters related to aquatic science in Atlantic Canada
3. gather and disseminate to Society members and the general public scientific, technical, and other information about estuaries and the coastal zone through annual meetings, publi

cations, and other forms of communication
4. encourage the teaching of coastal and estuarine science in colleges and universities. ACCESS is an affiliate of the Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation (https://www.cerf.science/), an international federation that has seven affiliate societies that encompass all of the coastal regions that border the United States, Canada and Mexico. As an affiliate, the ACCESS has representation on the Governing Board of the Estuarine Research Federation. We have a wide-ranging membership from most of the Atlantic Provinces including Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Quebec. We would like to encourage estuarine and coastal scientists in Newfoundland and Labrador to become members too.
