Morning chores felt so strange today...
Yesterday THE Enigma, Iggy, left for his new home at Spring Valley Farms in Virginia. We are very happy Iggy has found a great new home to settle in, but it's a very bitter sweet moment now that he is actually gone. He was the patriarch of our drum breeding program. With his sweet temperament and handsome good looks he is going to be deeply missed around here. We have a son to take over his role for this season and daughters that we have retained over the last few years to carry on his legacy of champion drums.

With that said, we are on the hunt for new blood. Something with phenomenal conformation, temperament, that has some color that can add more to our program than just our solid blacks & bays, and black & bay tobianos.

Iggy had his spring spa treatment this morning, Hazel was clearly upset she wasn't getting the photo op her grandpa was getting so she had to show off her beautiful smile when I finally turned the camera on her 😂
