Ride No.3 and first canter under saddle post-track for 2026 TB Makeover prospect, Play on Evan! Thank you for getting this big guy back on track - so to speak! 😆 This was his first ride with his brand new set of shoes and he was feeling so good! He only just turned 4 last week and I feel like he is still very much unaware of his size and the power of that hind end... Probably for the best at this stage of retraining! 😂

My first ride last Friday on 2026 TB Makeover prospect, Play on Evan, did not disappoint! 😍 He exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to get some shoes on him so I can really feel him move! Such a cool dude! 😎

On April 7th, we welcomed Talize's second foal (and our second homebred), Tahlia! I posted on my personal page, but forgot to share here! 😅 She is by Tamarkuz who stands at , and we could not be happier with this cross! She is sweet, smart, and feisty! 🔥💃 I can't wait to watch her grow up ❤️

Appreciation post for the man that is hard at work behind the scenes everyday helping to make it all happen! Even though I very inconveniently asked .saik to put together a second broodmare stall and set up a camera for Talize (just so that Tucker could still keep one of the bigger stalls in the barn) on top of about a million other things he has to do for the farm and his own business... He did it. Thank you!! ❤️ But, Talize sparked his love for pretty mares many years ago, so I think he did it just as much for her! 😜

The difference in Mira in just one week is crazy! She has started to become so much more supple and engaged. I am so excited for her to build more strength! 😍💪

I'm super excited to be getting some more consistent training in with my 2026 TB Makeover prospect, Mira (Michele M.), now that the weather has improved! 🥰

Her relaxation and rhythm has improved a lot by ride 10! We still have a long way to go before Kentucky in October, but slow and steady wins the race! ☺️

It's official! Mira (Michele M.) and I are accepted for the 2026 Thoroughbred Makeover! 😄

The first couple months of training has felt slow due to the crazy weather we have been having since winter started. However, today was above zero for the first time in ages and the sun definitely felt like spring is around the corner! My arena almost hit 15C today! 🌞🥳

I had a great ride on Mira to celebrate and I am really looking forward to the journey with this mare! She is also very grateful it is warming up - poor Florida bred girl is probably wondering how the heck she ended up staying here in Canada the last few months! 🤪

Mr. Souperstitious aka Bert is looking for a part boarder or in barn lease at Meraki Equestrian! If he sounds familiar, that is because he was one of my 2022 TB Makeover entries and rejoined Team Meraki under his new owner! 😄

Bert is 16.1 with a thick build and a puppy dog personality. He has experience showing in the Hunters on the silver and gold circuits up to 2'6" but he has scope for more. He is a straightforward horse to ride on the flat with a good balance of whoa and go. He is great to hack! He suits an intermediate and up rider for the flat but requires an experienced rider for jumping as he likes to be supported going to the jumps. Showing is an option with our Gold team and schooling shows at Meadowlarke are also possible. I am making it a goal to get out off property hacking more this summer and he would think that is great fun to join in on as well!
