First Standard Poodle Earns AKC MNH Title
Registered Name: Duxbury My Ten Cents MH51 MNH SHU
Dime is the First Poodle in History to have Qualified at three AKC Master National Retriever Club events, earning her the AKC title of Master National Hunter (MNH). With this title, Dime will be inducted into the 2023 AKC Retriever Hall of Fame…a first for her breed. Dime Qualified in 2019, 2021 and 2023.

The Master National is a 10-day event. Dogs must qualify or pass 6 AKC Master level tests during the qualifying year in order to be eligible to enter. This year 1,220 dogs predominately Labrador and Golden Retrievers, were entered into the Master National held in Thomasville, GA October 26-November 5. Over 80 percent of the dogs are trained and handled by Professional Trainers/Handlers. Dogs receiving qualifying scores on Series 1 move to Series 2 through the event until Series 6 before qualifying and receiving the coveted Pewter Plate and Ribbon.

Dime’s three Master National passes earned her Owner/Breeder and Handler Jack D. Combs an Amateur Team Excellent Award from the Master National Retriever Club. Her new title MNH also means she is eligible to enter any future Master National events without having to re-qualify.

Dime’s dam Bibelot’s Tolka Hands Up MH81 was the first Poodle to ever Qualify at a Master National. Ten qualified in 2009 and 2012.
