Some of you may be driving by wondering why we have a horse so severely underweight out in our pasture.......

Well Lieutenant is a rescue that came to board with us here March 27th 2026.
His new owner Alex Lack took on the great responsibility of bringing this guy back from deaths door, where someone else tried to leave him to "fend" for himself all winter long.

We have the vet and an equine dentist working along side both of us to help do right by this guy.

He's on a slow refeed program approved and decided on by the vet.

He's getting previcox for managing his pain, a mashmix of all his essentials twice a day, along with hay, alfalfa cubes and now on full time grass this is why he's now visible and shocking the onlookers.

He honestly is doing so good compared to how he came to us.🫶

Humans are some of the most cruel mammals on this planet. BE A DECENT HUMAN!
