It's with a heavy heart that I've decided to close Polaris Grooming. There is a different lifestyle out in the country and our life has taken us on a new path.

Our priorities have drastically changed over the past 5yrs. Between ongoing injuries, and or life altering diagnosis, combined with kids who have "left the nest", we are moving a different direction in our life than we had originally planned. Which means things need to shift.

My focus will now move more towards my farm business, and adapting to our every changing family needs, opposed to the Grooming which has brought me so much joy over the past 20yrs.

It's been an absolute pleasure to be your groomer in both Lorette, and Ste Genevieve. I've formed many friendships over the years, and have seen many of your pets through their entire lifetime. It's been such a joy to play an important role for your pet.

This will be the last Christmas wish from my family to yours. Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and I wish you amazing adventures for you and your pets in 2026.

Polaris Grooming and Training got an upgrade! Check it out! We finally have a real shop and not just a room in the basement with no walls.

Yes I am accepting clients.... But only small or medium dogs. I MIGHT accept the occasional large dog (between 50-70) but absolutely no extra large dogs (anything over 70 lbs is an xl dog). As always all dogs must be fully vaccinated, with proof of vaccination, as I have my own pets here on the farm.

I'm pleased to report, miss Lumi is a certified service dog now. She passed her public access testing with flying colours, as I knew she would.

It's happening. Let's hope this goes according to plans. Now it's up to Lumi to come into heat so we can get the ball rolling.

If you know of anyone interested in the possibility of future standard poodle pups likely worthy of service work, or just amazing poodles in general with fabulous temperaments, please share.

Parents are health tested and have clean titles.

Coming soon...... If all goes according to plan. Taking reservations. For now, all all deposits are refundable, once pregnancy is confirmed and viable, deposits will be non refundable.

Oh my goodness, I'm getting excited. The Countdown is on. We are just waiting for Lumi to go into heat next, and we will get the party started. If all goes well, pups should be on the ground in april.

Both dogs were chosen for service work. Both dogs are service dogs in training. Both dogs will hopefully have their public access testing done this year. This will likely be the only litter from either as they have jobs to focus on. Sirius is going for more titles, I may or may not title Lumi in a few CKC events..... To be determined, as I do have a lot on my plate.

Happy new year! Welcome to 2024. As I mentioned there would be changes happening to Polaris Grooming and Training. I wish I could say this would be good news and good changes, but it's not.

My husband was diagnosed with primary progressive multiple sclerosis in November. It's been a long road leading up to this diagnosis with a lot of issues developing over the course of the past year. We don't have a blueprint to follow with this diagnosis, so we don't know how quickly or slowly this will advance or how severe his symptoms will become. So what does this mean for my business?

It means my business will slowly take a back seat as I'm needed more at home. I've been downsizing grooming anyhow as it's too physically demanding on my tiny body. I'll be keeping my existing clients. You guys don't need to worry about finding a new groomer. As for new clients, it'll be very limited if I take on new clients. As for training, yes I'll still take on some training clients here and there as I can.

This won't be a fast transition, it'll be based on how quickly my husbands symptoms progress. Please still book your regular appointments, still follow your schedule, just know that if it's a bad day I may need to reschedule you. Grooming helps me to keep myself engaged and helps to keep me sane.

This clearly isn't the news we wanted to hear, this isn't the path we would have chosen, but we are here none the less.

I'm considering adding small PET GOAT grooming into my business. When I say small, I mean silkie fainting, pygmy, nigerian dwarf and the like. No large dairy goats or any other large goats. Small breeds only. Preferably no bucks unless not in rutt, and not aggressive.

If this is something you'd consider for your pet goats, please let me know. I'd need to add some supplies to my already existing supplies, but if the interest is there, it's something I'd consider. I own goats already, one of which will require regular grooming.

Pls share with someone who may be interested in this service.

It was make over day for my own dogs today. Polaris got the full groom, Lumi just got a bath and tidy, with an updated colour change on her tail.

Nothing like a little post groom play session for everyone.
