🍂 Fall & Winter Grooming Schedule Update 🍂

I'm currently working on my Fall/Winter grooming schedule and will be reaching out to everyone soon with your upcoming appointments!

✨ A quick reply is always greatly appreciated. The sooner I hear back from you, the sooner I can finalize the schedule and make sure everyone gets the dates they need.

If any of the appointment dates I send don't work for you, please let me know as soon as possible so I can make any necessary adjustments.

I also wanted to give everyone a heads-up that I'll be taking some time off this fall. Because of that, I may not be able to accommodate everyone's preferred dates. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding while I work to fit everyone into the schedule as best I can.

🐾 Looking for something fun and different to do with your dog this summer? 🐾

Come give Rally Obedience a try at the air-conditioned Red Barn Event Centre—the perfect way to stay cool while building teamwork, confidence, and communication with your dog!

Join me for a fun, supportive class that's suitable for dogs and handlers looking to learn something new. Whether your goal is to compete or simply enjoy a new activity together, Rally is a fantastic way to strengthen your bond while having a blast.

This 4 week course is designed to introduce dog/handler teams to the various components of Rally Obedience. Intro to Rally Obedience is great for students who have completed Canine Life Skills 1 or Puppy 2 - Teens & Tweens and are looking to continue learning new skills in a fun yet structured setting. New Rally-O teams looking to hone in on their skills are encouraged to join as well. Each class will be balanced between discussing the various topics encompassed in Rally-O and time to practice/refine skills and exercises.

Topics may include but are not limited to:
- Understanding Novice Rally-O Signs (Both CKC and CARO)
- Learning the different levels in Rally-O
- How to achieve mannerly walking in the ring
- Keeping your dog attentive to you while navigating signs and courses
- Various skills required to preform Rally signs such as fronts, finishes, pivoting while heeling etc.
- Generalising stationary positions and working up to walking around the dog in a sit, down or stand

Prerequisites:
- Dogs must be able to walk nicely on leash and reliably sit & down on cue

Join us starting Friday, June 5th at 10:15 AM for our Intro to Rally Obedience classes at the Red Barn Event Centre!

This 6-week course features 1-hour classes where we’ll cover:
🐶 Basic obedience skills
🐶 Rally foundations for both CARO & CKC Rally
🐶 Rules and regulations for both organizations
🐶 Trial information, titles, and upcoming events

Whether you’re brand new to Rally or looking for a fun new activity with your dog, this class is a great place to start!

When your pets come to visit, they truly become part of the family. ❤️

While your pups are here getting pampered, there’s often singing, dancing, and a little bit of silliness (thankfully, they never judge me). Other times, it’s calm, quiet, and patient—whatever each dog needs in that moment. Every dog who walks through my door is treated with love, respect, and care, because no two are the same.

Since I don’t see them every day, I sometimes notice the little changes—an extra pound here or there, a new lump or bump, or the subtle shifts that come with aging. The graying faces, cloudy eyes, and slower steps… those are the hardest parts to witness.

As a pet parent myself, I know how deeply this journey can affect us. Our time with them is never long enough, which is why it’s so important to cherish every single moment we have.

Today is a heavy day as we say goodbye to one of our beloved clients, Lily. At nearly 14 years old, she was one of our oldest visitors. She’ll be deeply missed—not just by me, but by my golden boys who always greeted her with so much love.

Rest easy, sweet girl. 🌈
