This is Arlo, a four-year-old Salishan terrier. He’s a terrific dog—smart, friendly with dogs and people. He lives to run. However, he does have a few unfortunate quirks, Separation Anxiety among them. He can’t be left alone for more than an hour or two without being heavily medicated.
We are looking for a JRT-savvy dogsitter in the Vancouver area so that we can occasionally travel. Up until now we’ve been using Rover, but would really like to find a more consistent situation for him. Because he can’t really be left alone for long, a homebody-type couple would be ideal. Though he’s generally fine with kids, he does have a strange startle response that sometimes kicks and this could be problematic. Another dog in the home would be fine. Definitely no cats or birds.
