⚠️🐝Bee stings in pets can often be mild, but in some cases can occasionally become serious depending on location and sensitivity.
👀 What you might see:
• Sudden swelling (especially face, muzzle, paws)
• Redness, licking, or discomfort
• Sudden yelp/reaction
🐾 What you can do:
• Remove the stinger if visible (scrape, don’t squeeze)
• Apply a cold compress for 5–10 minutes
• Keep your pet calm and monitor COSELY
🚨 Call your vet urgently if you notice:
• Facial swelling or swelling near the throat
• Hives or widespread swelling
• Vomiting, diarrhea, or collapse
• Any breathing difficulty
• Known history of allergic reactions
Bee stings can escalate quickly in some pets. When in doubt, get them checked out 🐝🐾
