PawzNDogz was born out of a simple challenge, our fur baby, Princess (Golden Retriever) faced.
Princess was unable to climb into our car at a very young age. We had seen dogs who loved hopping into their cars for a ride, but Princess, never. Though she was excited to ride with us, she never took the initiative to get into the car herself. We found this amiss and decided to get her checked, as large dogs like her are prone to hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia and all kinds of genetic joint diseases.
A diagnosis detected clear but mild hip dysplasia. We used to lift her by hind legs to help her into the car, but were never able to avoid her high jumps from the car. Lifting a 90 lb doggo can be quite a challenge ! To make her life easy we started exploring the products available in the market and we came across dog ramps. We got one ! Princess never really became a fan of the ramp and moreover the ramp was quite heavy to carry it around, fold it and open it when needed. We even got our fingers crushed in the lever while folding it ! We thought, probably the ramp may not a viable solution for us. We wanted something light and easy peasy.
After further exploration we came across a fold-able, portable, compact, light-weight, stable and easy to use dog steps which was a perfect product, but we had go through multiple hurdles to get this product for Princess. Since this product was not easily available, we decided to make it available to pet parents like us. We also realized, the pain pet parents go through for simple problems like the one above - problems as ordinary as getting onto the high couch, choking while eating fast, getting water refilled and changed while at work etc, ensuring clean food for grazers, burning out a hyperactive dog etc. In order to make the lives of pet parents easy and help our furry friends, PawzNDogz was born and no surprises, the foldable dog steps became the flagship product of PawzNDogz .
