Montréal, November 25, 2025 — The Montreal SPCA has launched a new 24/7 hotline for reporting any acts of animal cruelty or abuse across Quebec.

If you witness something concerning, you can now report it anonymously, anytime. This new hotline will help the SPCA Investigations Division respond more quickly and better protect animals from neglect, cruelty, and exploitation throughout the province.

I get asked alot, are puppies a lot of work? The answer is YES! There is no sugar coating this. It can be exhausting. To me it feels like the equivalent of having a toddler running around with no diaper that has to chew and bite everything!! The only thing you need when you have a puppy is patients. I work with puppies all the time, but now having one full time, well, let’s just say if i’m being completely honest, yes, i’ve broken down and cried, because I’m tired, I’ve gotten mad, I’ve lost my patience and i haven’t gotten a good night's sleep in 2 weeks. I need to remind myself that the puppy phase is short, that she is looking to us to learn everything she needs to learn to become a well rounded confident adult dog. I’m sharing this post, because if you have a puppy or plan on getting one, know that all these feelings are normal, don’t beat yourself up if you too at times feel this way, it’s all part of the process.
