Do you remember Flora? 💛

We first met this brave girl at the Eleuthera Spay & Neuter Clinic, where she was found with a broken and dislocated hip. From the moment we picked her up, we promised her the best care possible — and that promise has never changed.🤝

Flora underwent an FHO procedure (femoral head osteotomy), one that is usually very successful in helping injured pups regain use of a damaged leg. But Flora had already been through so much trauma before she reached us. Due to the trauma and nerve damage, she never regained use of the leg, and despite physio and patience, she still isn’t able to bear weight.💔

Yesterday, we visited a specialist at Mississauga Oakville VCA to get answers — and we finally have a clear path forward. The only option left to give Flora a pain-free, happy future is amputation. It’s a big surgery, but it is also the moment everything changes for her. Dogs thrive as tripods — and Flora is already functioning as one — so this will finally let her live without pain.

Now we need our community, you, more than ever.

This surgery comes at a difficult time of year, but maybe that’s also what makes it the right moment. Christmas is the season of giving, of love made visible.✨♥️

Meet Frederick — lovingly known as Freddy or Fred🐾

Frederick’s journey began at one of our spay and neuter clinics in Eleuthera, where he was found severely emaciated. He was in such poor condition that we couldn’t leave him behind. After nearly two months in foster care, Freddy has made an amazing recovery and is now at a healthy weight, thriving, and ready for his forever home.🥰🏡

Freddy is playful, gentle, and people-focused, and he truly adores humans of all ages, including kids.💙🍼

He’s potty trained, crate trained, and sleeps through the night, making him an easy and rewarding companion.🦴

After missing out on puppyhood early on, Freddy is now learning how to be a puppy again, discovering joy in play, toys, and connection.🧸🥎

He loves enrichment activities and would thrive in a home that enjoys keeping him mentally engaged. Freddy likes to play with other dogs, but he doesn’t need another dog in the home, he’s perfectly happy being the center of attention and spending time with his people.✨

Zasa is the sweetest girl and the undisputed queen of belly rubs. She’s friendly with everyone she meets, walks beautifully on leash, and has made dog friends of all sizes. 🐶💕

Let’s clear that up — because fostering is SO much more doable than most people think. And right now is the perfect time to jump in. ❤️

💔 HELP NEEDED FOR FLORA 💔

Flora is a sweet little fighter we found at a recent spay and neuter clinic with BAARK! On the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas.🇧🇸

Flora arrived with a painful dislocated hip, but thanks to quick action, she received her FHO surgery at the perfect age for an amazing recovery. 🌸

Now she’s in Canada, in the final stretch of her healing journey, and just needs short-term physiotherapy to help her regain full strength. This isn’t lifelong care — just support to get her across the finish line. And once she’s healed? Flora will be ready for adoption and a brand-new life.✨

Her previous home loved her but didn’t have the means to provide the medical care she needed. So together with our friends at Potcake Puppy Palace, we stepped in — and now we’re asking for your help too.

We met this little lady at a recent spay & neuter clinic with BAARK!, another accidental litter, the kind we see far too often. Pups like Sugar are exactly why these clinics matter so much.💛

Sugar’s mama was small and we expect she’ll stay on the smaller side too. She’s playful, gentle, and absolutely obsessed with belly rubs.🥹

She’s been amazing with every kid and dog she’s met, sleeps through the night, is crate trained, and hasn’t had a single accident since day one. SMART girl.👏
