He arrived in pain

His body was already giving up
An open wound
Infection spreading
Every step hurting more than the last

This is what neglect looks like
This is what abandonment does

We had no time to wait

He needed immediate care
Medication
Treatment to stop the infection before it was too late

Right now, he is fighting
And we are fighting with him

But cases like this are the hardest
The most expensive
The most urgent

We do everything we can
But we cannot do it alone

This is our shelter

Not perfect
Not fancy
But it is where they are safe

Behind these fences are lives that were once forgotten
Dogs who had nowhere else to go
Dogs who were abandoned, injured, starving

Here, they find something they never had before
Care
Food
Protection
A second chance

Every corner you see exists because someone chose to help
Because someone decided their lives matter

But the truth is, it is still not enough
We need more structure
More space
More resources to keep saving them

Today is the day to introduce someone very special to all of you! 💙
This is the one responsible for the accounting and financial side of our shelter. She came from another country, has been living here for a few years now, and since then has embraced our cause with all her heart.

Thanks to people like her, and to all of you who follow and support us, we’re able to keep this work going and see our dogs happy every single day. 🐶

This is one of our rescues, a sweet mixed-breed dog, about 6 to 7 years old.

Thanks to your support, he not only regained the joy of playing and running in the park, but also found something even more special: a family that truly loves him. 🏡❤️

Every bit of help we receive makes stories like his possible.

Hello friends who follow my page, my name is Rachel and I am responsible for the shelter together with some other amazing volunteers!

This post is a way to thank you for all the support you have been giving us. As you can see, our dogs are happier, more playful, standing up again, and full of energy as they wait to be adopted by someone!

The situation at our shelter is still very difficult. We still have some animals in moderate to severe conditions that you can help us with. Every amount you send to us is used 100% to help the animals, providing food and veterinary care.

Once again, I want to thank you for supporting us, for not giving up on us, and for helping us keep our heads up to continue this work that is not easy in our daily lives!
