Valentine's Day originated from a blend of ancient Roman, pagan, and Christian traditions, evolving from the mid-February fertility festival of Lupercalia and the martyrdom of Saint Valentine. Legend links the day to a 3rd-century Roman priest who defied Emperor Claudius II by secretly marrying soldiers. It became associated with romantic love in the 14th century, particularly through the literature of Geoffrey Chaucer.

The Public Works Department (PWD), natively known as Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR; Jawi: جابتن كرجا راي), is a government department under the Ministry of Development (MoD) responsible for the development and maintenance of infrastructures in Brunei.

PWD supplies 99.9% of the drinkable water, with 0.2% coming from rural sources. With an emphasis on resource protection and conservation, the Department of Water Services (Jabatan Perkhidmatan Air) is in charge of planning, designing, and managing the nation's water resources to guarantee sustainability and satisfy future demands.

The public can request water tanker services by calling the Talian Darussalam Hotline at 123 in the event of a water disruption.

The Department also promotes prudent water use to avoid waste and commemorates World Water Day on March 22 every year to inform and reaffirm the significance of water conservation to the general population. 🐾

Pizza Hut was founded on May 31, 1958, by brothers Dan and Frank Carney in Wichita, Kansas, with a $600 loan from their mother. The name was chosen because their sign only had space for nine characters, and the building resembled a hut. The chain grew rapidly, adopted its iconic red roof in 1969, and was sold to PepsiCo in 1977.

The brand was known for its "sit-down", family-friendly red-roof restaurants, but has since shifted to focus on delivery and carryout, introducing iconic products like the Pan Pizza and, more recently, bringing back the "Big New Yorker".

Pizza Hut becomes part of Tricon Global Restaurants (later Yum! Brands) in 1997. Today with over 19,000 restaurants in more than 110 countries, it is one of the world's largest pizza chains. 🐾

Founded by Kiichiro Toyoda, the company began as a department of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works in 1933. The first passenger car, the Model AA, was produced in 1936.

The company was incorporated as Toyota Motor Corporation. The name was changed from "Toyoda" to "Toyota" because it required eight strokes to write in Japanese (a lucky number) and sounded better in 1937.

Today, Toyota is a major manufacturer of cars, trucks, and hybrids, producing over 10 million vehicles annually. 🐾
