I'll keep you updated.
Zeker een aanrader!!!
SI is voor mij een van de mooiste tools in de opvoeding. Het helpt ongelofelijk jou hond en ook jouw!
Zeker ook voor honden die niet hyperactief zijn!
Lately, Iโve been seeing a lot of behavior cases where dogs are hyperactive and overly responsive to all kinds of stimuli in their environment. This often points to a lack of self-regulation and an inability to assimilate and integrate sensory information to produce adaptive behavior. In my experience, these cases usually stem from two possible causes (which can sometimes overlap):

This can happen in two ways: either through a philosophy of raising a dog as freely as possible, without boundaries or limitations, or by focusing on obedience and impulse control to achieve adaptive behavior. Often, these two approaches blend to some extent. However, neither truly guides a dog toward self-regulation. The result can be a hyperactive dog who struggles to cope with the flood of sensory stimuli in everyday life.

From what Iโve observed, digestive issues seem more likely to contribute to this than problems in the musculoskeletal system. That said, chronic health conditions can sometimes lead to a paradoxical situation: a high degree of self-regulation, yet still failing to regulate effectively.
I might need a webinar to dive deeper into this topic. ๐ค
