⚔️♥️ Mangrove Warrior of Love ♥️⚔️
I work hard. I play hard.

I am a 16-month-old male Pyrenean Mountain Dog, built by centuries of purpose, standing proudly among a few of “my” alpacas 🦙 🦙🦙….
And trust me—life is so much better with fluffy alpacas by your side.

Alpacas don’t judge. They simply stand there, wise and serene, minding their own business. I wish more humans would follow their example. Lately, it seems people are spitting more nonsense than alpacas ever could. Perhaps it’s time they focus on cleaning their own stable first—because, if there’s one place that definitely needs improvement, it’s under their own shady roof.

FCI-St. N° 137 / 31.03.2005 Pyrenean Mountain Dog
HEAD: Not too large in comparison with the size of the dog. Its sides are fairly flat.
CRANIAL REGION:
Skull: The widest part of the skull is equal to its length. It is slightly rounded due to the sagittal crest being perceptible to the touch. Because the occipital protuberance is apparent, the back of the skull has on ogival shape. Superciliary ridges are not pronounced. The median furrow is scarcely perceptible to the touch between the eyes. Stop: Gentle slope.
FACIAL REGION:
Nose: Totally black.
Muzzle: Broad, slightly shorter than the skull, narrowing progressively towards the tip. Seen from above it forms a blunt “V”. Well filled below the eyes.
Lips: Not very droopy, just enough to cover the lower jaw. Black or heavily marked with black, as is the palate.
Jaws/Teeth: Complete dentition with healthy, white teeth. Scissors bite (upper incisors overlapping lower incisors without losing contact). Pincer bite tolerated as are the two lower pincers tipping forward.
EYES: Rather small, almond-shaped, set slightly obliquely, with intelligent and contemplative expression, of amber-brown colour. Eyelids never loose. Gentle, dreamy look.
EARS: Set on level with the eye, fairly small, triangular in shape and rounded at the tip. They fall flat against the head and are carried slightly raised when the dog is alert.

We are pleased with the official rating certificate of our female Pyrenean Mountain Dog; Stormi Du Néouvielle. For her age, this is the highest score she can achieve, namely 4 and RECOMMENDED. Breeding a female starts at 2 years old in accordance with animal welfare and general international regulations, so she hasn’t yet had two litters with fully grown offspring. Thus, she will need to wait a little longer to reach Elite B or Elite A status, but we are fully committed and enthusiastic about working toward that goal. With her potential and proper approach, we are confident she will achieve it!

It is also important ‼️to take a moment to acknowledge the daily and voluntary efforts of the RACP since 1923. This is the club par excellence that every enthusiast of Pyrenean Mountain Dogs should consider joining, if only to support the preservation of this noble breed.

“La Réunion des Amateurs de Chiens Pyrénéens (RACP) is a non-profit association founded in 1923. It is responsible for promoting the Pyrenean breeds in France, including: the Pyrenean Mountain Dog with Long Hair, the Pyrenean Mountain Dog with Smooth Face, the Catalan Sheepdog, the Pyrenean Mountain Dog, and the Pyrenean Mastiff.

The RACP aims to encourage responsible breeding of these breeds, remain attentive to breeders by assisting them in their tasks, and develop their utilisation. To this end, the club, through the efforts of its volunteers, oversees the standards of these breeds, facilitates judge training, identifies and catalogs suitable breeding stock through a rating system, and develops tests for the improvement and sustainability of the breeding population.

It promotes and organises Special, Regional, and National breed shows that showcase the best specimens and regularly publishes a free magazine for its members, informing them about the evolution of our breeds, their health, exhibition results, and the club’s activities.

The club also manages this website, which aims to be as comprehensive as possible regarding the information you seek, along with a page and an online shop presenting products specific to our breeds.

Joining the association means investing in the Pyrenean Dogs while demonstrating your commitment to these ancestral breeds, rich in history and heritage.
