Petite Histoire du Jour les "Noeuds d'Elfes"
Selon une vieille légende Bretonne, les korrigans visitaient les étables au milieu de la nuit pour faire des nœuds dans les crinières des chevaux qu'ils trouvaient les plus beaux.
On raconte qu’une fois les crins des chevaux tressés, ces elfes utilisaient les nœuds pour monter les chevaux à la nuit tombée et faire des courses de galop.
Donc si vous en trouvez dans la crinière de vos chevaux c'est que les elfes sont passées par là.

The urban myth about “Witch Knots” in horses’ manes has changed over the centuries – alternating between blaming fairies, witches, thieves, gypsies, Pagans and Bigfoot – but no one quite knows where the story started.
Some believe the origin lies with the “Wild Hunt,”the goddess Diana and her followers as “evil women” in league with the Devil. One thing led to another, pretty soon every horse owned by a woman and found with tangled hair … belonged to a witch.
