Going back to 2022 when KAYA gave us our first HS foal! 🤩

A nice looking c**t by Conthargos, who got sold to Estonia at 3 months old. 🇪🇪

While we were excited to see what this c**t would become, an unfortunately accident in the field decided otherwise and Conthaya HS needed to be put down as a one year old.

As this was our first foal out of KAYA when she retired after an injury we found it extra sad when we got the news, but we still like to share him with you on our socials. ⭐️

Following our foundation mare Kaya de Mauretus, we are proud to introduce another important broodmare of Hippo Screen Stud. 🤍

Mayflower v/d Kransvijver competed up to 1.45m level and combines proven performance with a strong and reliable pedigree.

She is a daughter of Finn Chin van’t Goor (1.50m), by Chin Chin, out of Cargentina van’t Goor, and carries the highly successful Nabab de Rêve × Chin Chin combination, one of the most proven crosses in modern showjumping breeding.

Mayflower is especially appreciated for her outstanding mentality. She combines blood and sensitivity with a generous and cooperative nature, always willing to work and perform for her rider. Her strong hindquarter, natural power and scope are paired with an elegant, refined and athletic appearance, making her a mare that truly stands out.

These qualities make her a valuable addition to our breeding program and a mare we strongly believe in for the future of Hippo Screen Stud.

Mayflower is currently in foal of Colorit Z and is expected to bring us her first HS foal at the end of July. ✨

Meet Hippo Screen Stud’s first breeding mare! 🤍

Kaya de Mauretus competed at 1.30m level herself and comes from an exceptional damline of international showjumpers.

Her half-sister Eline 111 (Action-Breaker) jumped 1.55m with Carlos Lopez.
Her approved half-brother Silver Wave ex. If Ever 111 (Der Senaat 111) jumped 1.50m under John Crippen.
She is also the aunt of Apache 111 (Chatman), who competed at 1.55m with Giorgio Sacco.

From this strong damline also descend Flipper d’elle (1.60m), Urano de Cartigny (1.60m), Tourterelle d’elle (1.60m) and many more.

Kaya already proved herself as a broodmare, giving us three quality foals:
• Conthaya HS (2023, mare) by Conthargos
• Donthaya HS (2024, stallion) by Donthargos
• Extraya HS (2025, filly) by Extra Z

Kaya consistently produces tall, modern foals with beautiful type and exceptionally good gaits, making her a true foundation mare for Hippo Screen Stud.

Her offspring will be presented in more detail in our next posts. ✨

She is currently in foal of Darry Lou and will bring us another HS foal this June. 🐎
