First you build confidence and trust. You set up a communication based on mutual understanding and respect. Throughout that communication you work on establishing that partnership you want so much. It is never about winning or losing. Working a horse, is mainly working on yourself to become a better human being than you were yesterday. Think of that every time you work with your horse !

A true definition of horsemanship!
“Don’t be a victim.
Be busy with your horse so you stay out of trouble – otherwise, trouble will come and find you.
Be assertive but don’t be aggressive, if you are aggressive you’ll make the horse flighty.
The horse needs perimeters like anyone else. Give them guidance, support, rules. The same rules. Don’t change the game.

Cow horse confidence training with horseman s paradise @ arendonk. Concentration and focus on the cows for horse and rider. though flame was scared he offered me the best he was capable of 😀
