The best dog trainers make it look easy.

They seem to know what the dog is about to do and, when something changes, they already know what they are going to do next.

We often put that down to experience, instinct, feel or great timing.

But what if the timing isn't actually where it starts?

A recent conversation with some visitors from the Swiss Army reminded me of something from my military days and got me thinking about what experienced trainers are actually doing when they appear to react almost instantly.

I realised that I have been doing something for years without ever really putting a name to it.

I've explored the idea in my latest blog, **The Art of Prediction**.

And it might offer a slightly different explanation for why the best trainers always seem to have such good timing.

Our Belgian Red Devils remind us a lot of our Belgian Malinois: true athletes—fast, intelligent, agile, blessed with incredible endurance, and above all, fearless and courageous.

Let's use this post as an excuse to wish our Red Devils the very best of luck today in their World Cup clash against Spain this evening ! 🍀🔴⚫🟡

🐾 Today we took our three puppies, who will soon be leaving for their new homes, on a socialization trip to Ostend. We visited both the train station and the busy city center.

We couldn't be happier with how all three performed. Crowds, trains, traffic, and unfamiliar surroundings didn't faze them at all. They moved through every new experience with confidence and ease, as if they had done it all their lives.

Another great reminder of how valuable proper early socialization really is. ❤️🐶

🌞🐶 Because of this week's extreme heat, we took several of our dogs for a swim—from young puppies to fully grown adults. 💦

The Labrador puppies clearly show their strong genetic instincts: they are natural swimmers and retrievers. 🦆🏊‍♂️🎾

And yes... for us trainers, it was a fun and refreshing break as well! 😎💙🌊
