WHO IS THIS?
Female Russian Dwarf
Born 07/2018

Temporarily called Romy!

HER BACKGROUND?
She comes from a family with 3 little kids (between 5&10 years old) that locked her up in a small cage without bedding or hiding spots.

Because she couldn't hide it was easy for the kids to pick her up whenever they wanted and sqeeze her way to hard.

HER BEHAVIOUR
In the beginning she was very scared and even screames at my hand when it was in her enclosure. She never bit me once, but ran away and hid from me.
Now, after 2-3 weeks she takes treats from my hand. She doesnt sit on it,but will take the treat from you.

You won't see her during the day. She usually comes out around midnight.

I think she will always be more of a watch Hamster then a cuddle Hamster. But the progress i made in 2-3 weeks proves that with a lot of patience, time and love she can be a sweet pet.

LIKES/DISLIKES
She loves bananas & mealworms.
She hates humus & plants.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS
*80X50 enclosure
*20cm runningwheel
*At least 2 different houses
* 1 tunnel

ADOPTION COSTS
10 euros.

OUR NAME?
Kookies Rodent haven.
We named this after Kookie, our first rescue. He and his brother are the reason we started this.

WHO ARE WE?
We are a new Hamster and Rodent Haven located in Antwerp.

OUR GOAL?
Our goal main goal is to rescue Hamsters and other small rodents from bad households. We will take care of them and find a new and loving home for them.

WICH ANIMALS?
Ofcourse all small Rodents are welcome. Hamster, mouse, cavia,...
*we dont take Rabbits because their is a specialized rabbit rescue 20km from us.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION?
Ofcourse i wont just let anybody adopt. You have to prove to me you have the right kind and size of home for the animal. If you are interested in adoption i will ofcourse provide you with all the info you need.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
I ask a small fee of 10 euros for the adoption of a small Rodent.

CAN I MAKE A DONATION?
First of all you need to know we depend a lot on donations from other people. Ofcourse i do still take care of them and spend a lot of time, money and love doing so.
*Everything is welcome here. I work together with other rescues (like the one for Tabbits i mentipned earlier) so even if the hamsters can't use it, the animals from these other rescues can!
