Ho cercato a lungo di evitare di dover scrivere questo post, ma ora ne sento la necessità. Allevo da quasi trent'anni; ci sono anni di sacrificio, di tempo ed economico, di investimento su se stessi e sui propri cani, ci sono tanti, tantissimi km fatti per non allevare pezzi di carta ma cani che ho visto/conosciuto/vissuto. Non ho mai negato a nessuno la condivisione di nozioni che ho avuto la fortuna di acquisire. Purtroppo però c'è una cosa in cui non sono stata brava in passato, ed è quella di individuare quali persone fossero "degne" del mio aiuto, del mio sostegno, del mio supporto. Ho aiutato tante persone ad entrare nel mondo dei Golden da lavoro, condividendo informazioni, consigliando gli accoppiamenti, cedendogli le prime fattrici su cui impostare il loro allevamento, aiutandoli nella vendita dei cuccioli. Ora quello che vedo sono persone che sfruttano le loro cagne con molteplici cucciolate, fanno accoppiamenti insensati, non investono nei loro cani, non li lavorano, non li portano in gara; insomma l'unica cosa che fanno è sfruttare il mio nome, promuovendo il loro scadente lavoro con "linea Think Twice". E' ora di chiarire! Gli unici cani Think Twice escono da casa mia; NESSUNO collabora con me, a me no che non sia io a suggerire una cucciolata interessante. Il post è originato in italiano per ovvi motivi.....
(EN) I tried for a long time to avoid having to write this post, but now I feel the need to do so. I have been breeding for almost thirty years; there are years of sacrifice—of time and money—of investing in myself and in my dogs. There are countless kilometers traveled to ensure that I don’t breed pieces of paper, but dogs I have seen, known, and lived with.
I have never refused to share the knowledge I have been fortunate enough to acquire. Unfortunately, however, there is one thing I have not been good at in the past: identifying which people were “worthy” of my help, my support, and my guidance.
I have helped many people enter the world of working-line Golden Retrievers, sharing information, advising on pairings, providing them with their first breeding females on which to build their breeding programs, and assisting them in selling their puppies.
Now, what I see are people exploiting their females with multiple litters, making senseless pairings, failing to invest in their dogs, not working them, not competing with them. In short, the only thing they do is exploit my name, promoting their poor-quality work under the label “Think Twice line.”
It is time to make things clear: the only Think Twice dogs come from my kennel, from my home! NO ONE collaborates with me, unless I am the one suggesting an interesting litter.
