From promising youngster to international contender, Couscous van Orti built an impressive career across continents and riders.

Couscous began his journey on the Belgian Young Horse Circuit with Jens van der Steichel 🇧🇪. Together they:
🥇 Won the Belgian Young Riders Cup in 2009 & 2010
🥈 Placed 2nd in the Belgian Young Riders Championship in 2010 & 2011

Reached the 1.45m level before their partnership ended in 2013.

In 2013, Pieter Devos 🇧🇪 took the reins, guiding Couscous to the 1.60m level, where they competed successfully until 2015.
🌎 On the World Stage

In 2015, Couscous was purchased by Samuel Parot 🇨🇱. That same year, they represented Chile at the Pan American Games in Toronto, finishing an impressive 6th in the finals.

TAMAR GLIKSMAN AND CAPITAL KRONOS WIN THEIR FIRST WORLD CUP QUALIFIER

Huge congratulations to Tamar Gliksman and Farnham’s Capital Kronos (Darco x Cash) on their exceptional performances this weekend at the Toyota FEI Midrand WCQ.

– Congratulations from our team. Your performance over an international standard track was extraordinary. It gives us great joy to see Kronos excelling with you at the top of our sport. Thank you and congratulations on a very well-deserved victory!

From the moment Capital Kronos’ first foals hit the ground, his value as a breeding stallion for South Africa was confirmed. His victory in the WCQ, alongside the third-place finish by his son, Capital Kollier (Capital Kronos x Capital A Star), is a testament to the power of the world’s best bloodlines in sporthorse breeding. Kronos’ progeny, already climbing the showjumping ranks, are sure to join him in numbers in the top grades in years to come.

Finally, we would like to thank Toyota SA and Kyalami Park Club for hosting this world-class event. It was great to have our Capital horses out in force, and we look forward to the final leg of the series at the Toyota South African Derby in October!
