Canine Camp

Canine Camp Centrally located in the island, Canine Camp was established in the summer of 2010. Instantly, a light bulb went off in my mind and the idea grew from there.

As a young boy, growing up with plenty dogs also meant that there were plenty kennels available. As time passed and the family dogs died, the once filled kennels became empty. Interestingly, a family friend about to travel queried if I would be interested in boarding his dogs for him. Just graduated from secondary school and entering summer vacation with nothing to do, this was indeed a perfect op

portunity to make some much needed money for College. Canine Camp presently specializes in dog boarding and dog sitting services. We cater to families who are traveling as well as those who, in relocating may need their dogs housed for some time while they get settled. Although often used interchangeably, dog boarding speaks to the instance when the dog comes to Canine Camp, where a dog friendly environment is provided. Dog sitting on the other hand is provided where owners prefer to have their dog remain in their home environment for reasons such as security etc. Canine Camp would then make visits to the home to perform the necessary services (feeding, cleaning, walks etc.) Entrepreneurs are vital to the development of every country and while not an easy task, it becomes easier when the love and passion is there for what you do. Every day begins a new challenge as I constantly find ways to ensure that the owners are comfortable with leaving their precious animals in our care. It is also imperative that we maintain and enhance the reputation of Canine Camp in Barbados.

There’s no way we can fit all of our moments from this year into 1 video! However just note that we are very grateful to each and every one of you who trust us with your babies, who participate in our activities and who continue to make this canine community what it is.
The more we can educate folks on how to treat our canine friends and family the better this little island will be.
