I quite like this little darker grey pullet. It will be cool to see how she grows. I have another lighter girl who I will sell on I think. They are only babies yet so still a few months before I make a decision.

I’ve had several people message me asking about if I have egg wait lists and after eggs.

I’ve not really posted eggs before, usually when I sell eggs, it’s just at local Sawyers Valley, or if people are wanting eggs locally and arrange to meet up with me.

I don’t have a wait list for eggs atm, because I know I’ll forget. I have four kids under seven years old, and I work full time. My brain forgets. If you are after eggs, just keep messaging me, and when I have some, I can arrange a meet up or posting. Nag me lol.

Posted eggs: If you want to take the risk, I could give it a shot. Again, I’ll try and remember, but best to keep messaging me reminders if you are serious about wanting eggs.

At present, I’m hatching from my pekins myself, so won’t have any pekin eggs available until the end of the month at the earliest.

Silkie wise, I’m only prepared to move on the partridge silkie pen eggs, which currently has partridge rooster Teddy, with three black silkie hens, and four partridge silkie hens with him.

The buff silkie pen fertility is terrible, so no point selling those. I gave a friend 21 eggs and only five were fertile!

The point of this is…eggs, I mostly will supply local. If someone really wants a particular breed/colour, keep nagging me. I know someone is after buff/buff cuckoo pekins, so I have that at the back of my mind.

Just…nag me lol. And hopefully will get some out to people. I don’t have eggs or chickens as a business, just a hobby that has gotten…a bit out of hand lol, as I look at the chicks in my spare room.

Especially this time of year while I am hatching, selling off the hens I don’t want, growing out cockerels as long as I can stand until I decided who are keepers. We do not know how many chickens we have. It’s a lot, leave it at that. 😉

Ok, I’ve just popped in the last of the silkie eggs I will incubate in 2025. I still have pekins to do, but I’m determined to give myself a break, so I’m calling it for silkies.
I’ll be sorting through some birds that I probably won’t keep to take to local sales, I might have some eggs available within WA but due to fertility being lower than I’d like, around 60%, I won’t be posting.

I’ll probably start doing a few more silkies in March as some of last years late babies become old enough to hatch from.

I have my big white boy Buttons in with black hens because I have no big white girls. So, hatched the first egg last week on Sunday and Monday, this baby is the result lol. Partridge. Luckily for me, I do love a good partridge so hopefully its a girl that takes after Dad in size and fluff.
