A post from my personal page.. that I have been meaning to repost here for a while.. just didn't have the stomach to.

On November 5th 2015 Misty "Abtei Catchmeifucan" Mother off all Mirramel pups now lays in the ground.
We all held her and cried while she passed.
We wrapt her up in a blanket and dug her grave together.
my Duaghter bravely took her down the block to her resting place.
We lifted her in and all helped to cover her in the earth.
Today as a family we have lost a friend, sister, companion, mother, grand mother, guardian, helper and saviour.
She was more than just a dog..
She was loved and will be missed
:..(

Some horrible person had pulled the end of her tail off while we went out to the movies (for the first time in years no-one was home) She never recovered after surgery and other age related health problems sped up and she was in a lot of pain.
I miss her to bits

I have been asked if I know of anyone who would like to re-home a male gsp. He is 5 years old and his name is Soca. Pictures to come. This will be his 3rd home and Id love it to be his forever home. Re-homing due to change in owners circumstances.
Soca is de-sexed and has not hunted. (It would come naturally with a little training)
He has been a loved family dog.
Sleeps outside. Is healthy and loving.
For more details msg me :)
Currently located in the Hunter Valley NSW.
He is FREE to a family wanting an adult German Short Haired Pointer.
Current owner is happy to ship Soca to his new owners as he does NOT want to send him to a pound :)
If intetested please contact me

Sadly our breeding days are over for R***r :(
He has just undergone surgery to remove a suspicious lump and have it analyised for cancer.
The vets think it could be a form of skin cancer.
Came as a shock to us as he is only nearly 3 years old. Just goes to show how important it is to regularily brush and inspect your friends. If you become familliar with their bodies you can notice any unusual things and note if they change.
As a valued member of our family we decided to remove the area just in case and have it tested.
As responsible breeders we also decided against breeding with him in the future. So far R***r hadn't been breed from.
Here he is feeling very sorry with himself.

We have some great news...

One of the pups from the last litter called "Oakey" has wow his first retrival trial at 7 months of age!!
His owner is absolutley stoked as other dogs in the competition were at least 18 months of age.
It was awesome to get a call and to be told of the great work both the Owner and the dog have done together.

Hello friends and GSP lovers and owners!

Unfortunatley we decided to retire our breeding bitch Abtei Catch Me If U Can - "Misty" as she is nearing the age of 6.

We have kept Mirramel Titan Neso "R***r" as a future Stud Dog. Very soon we will be looking for a suitable Female German Shorthaired Pointer to pair him with.

R***r will be 6 months of age in October and is growing fast! He is only 3 cm below his Mother in height at the shoulder already. All baby teeth have been lost and we even managed to find 2 on the carpet! He has a massive set of adult teeth which look too big for his head at the moment!

He stalks the Magpies and Bunnies in the back paddock daily and will begin hunting and swimming training soon. He is already showing good retrival skills in his play.

Finding a suitable female to purchas,e who is also from a "larger" variety of GSP, will be hard. But I do wish to continue breeding "larger" GSP's specifically for Sambar Hunting. I may take some time to find the right girl. So we expect the delay for future pups to extend to 2 1/2 to 3 years from now.

I am intending on showing him in Minor Puppy class in the upcomming Alexandra A&P Society Show. A little worried about Dog shows - but will have a go !!

I will NOT become a breeder for shows don't worry!! Would just like some letters at the end of his name on his certificate!!

Untill Next time,
Regards,
Melissa Burns
