The sun setting on our farm, but not our dreams - still making progress towards opening up for agistment! Will post construction projects in progress in the coming days 🐴 9 horse shelters completed, 3 loading and a massive 6m x 12m cover for our five holding yards!

The property is starting to take shape and we’ll be ready to start up agistment soon, 6 of 8 horse shelters are constructed in our premium one acre paddocks, then we’ll get started on 4 additional horse shelters in our larger spelling/share paddocks!

Hideaway Hill farm is offering a live on property opportunity for a young man or a couple who are handy with using electric tools and farm work. We have a self contained 36sqm tiny home to live in during your contracted time working on the farm, we can offer up to 38 hours a week work for up to 3 months or by negotiation. Located in the beautiful Yass River area, just 3km off Yass River Road and 35 minutes from Gungahlin north Canberra, 25 minutes to Yass, or 20 minutes to Murrumbateman and public transportation. Work will include feeding and watering animals and handling, but will predominately involve building shelters for livestock, fencing, concreting, planting trees, driving farm machinery. On our farm we have dogs, horses, cows, goats, pigs and llama & alpacas and applicant will have to be comfortable around these large animals. Trade background is advantageous.
