It includes a warm bath, full blow-dry, thorough brush-out, and a full-body clip in your choice of a pet trim, breed style, or a look that suits your dog. At the completion of the contestant grooming (when allocated time is finished) all hair and grooming equipment must be removed from the table. A coloured table cloth may be placed under your dog to enhance your dogs trim. A comb of your choice is to be placed on the front of the table for the judge....

Is your dog a lover for attention? I’m still looking for people interested in having their dog be my competition dog! As much as I love Beau, I can’t always use him for my model!
There are a few competitions coming up and I swear it’s a love of mine now, competing. I can’t get enough of it!
I need a pup who loves grooming, loves attention and happy to come on a travel down to Melbourne!
Prep for shows includes and a weekly bath, and obviously a groom on the day of the comp as well! As well as a free full groom back to their regular haircut post show! It does require no shaving of the dog for 6 weeks before the comp though so weekly baths are required, to make sure there’s no mats forming!

I’m so proud of Beau, he’s such a dream on the table. I was also proud of his haircut, as much as his head looks a little too big, he didn’t have the proper beard to balance him out 😂 I think he still looks adorable.
There were so many FANTASTIC groomers at the comp today, it was bigger than my previous ones, I also took a huge risk doing something out of the norm in the “salon freestyle” class which was filled with gorgeous teddy bear trims but I wanted to be different so I turned Beau into a schnauzer. I think it looks super well on him and the judges told me it was super cute and they were happy with it, it just needed a few different touches and it would have fit the schnauzer cut perfectly. Straighter legs and lower shoulders and I would have had it in the bag!

Huge shout out to my mum for coming along, I’ve loved having her with me during this time!

Grooming competition, done and dusted!
Today we competed in Wicked Woof Grooming Competition and unfortunately didn’t place, we did learn so many new things and meet a whole bunch of new people. It was so amazing to meet and and have them judge my groom! It was an absolute honour!

I always love competing in competitions and it’s a lot more than just trying to win, it’s showing off your skills, learning new techniques and meeting a whole bunch of other groomers in your skill level and above!

Beau did amazing on the table, I couldn’t ask for a better comp dog 🥹🥰
