Due to unforeseen circumstances, Heidi, 1.5 years old heeler x amstaff is still looking for a new home!

She is the sweetest dog but definitely needs a home who is willing to put in the effort into training and gives her much needed exercise!

She would suit a single animal household though she has grown up around cats and dogs. Has been good with kids previously but hasn’t had much socialising.

I have had her in the salon and few times and she’s super loving and affectionate with heaps of personality and she would be a fantastic companion, but again does need a fair bit of patience and teaching 🩷

If I didn’t have a full house myself I would honestly take her 😂🩷

Hi!! Looking for a dog to use for a training session on Saturday! 10% off pricing for this session! Preferably a poodle/poodle mix! (No double coats - border collies, goldens etc) and has to be a dog that is comfortable with grooming and being in the salon so we can focus on training🩷

This will be a training session for hopefully a new groomer who will be taking my place for a few months while I take care of my baby 🥰

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there (which omg somehow means me now too??)

I want to say a huge I love you to my mum Julie, the most supportive and loving mum out there - she deals with all my new ideas (I do hers as well), supports my business ventures and now is going to be the best grandma ever. My Bub is going to be so so lucky to have her in his life 🩷

I couldn’t ask for a better mum and I hope I can be just as awesome as she is🩷

🐾LOVE DOGS … BUT DON’T KNOW HOW TO TURN IT INTO A JOB?

I was completely lost after school… tried job after job and hated them all ... especially in hospitality!

Then my life changed; I found dog grooming ... the worst part was there was no training and no hands on trial available for me - I just happened to luck into an opportunity with another groomer.
Now I run my own grooming business … and I’ve created a weekend to give others this same opportunity.

Little idea I’ve been thinking about…

I’m opening the door to a few good old-fashioned swaps 🙌

If you’ve got a skill, service or business and you’re keen to trade for dog grooming (same value, keep it fair), I’m all ears!

Could be anything from tradie jobs, cleaning, photography, bookkeeping, marketing, car detailing, beauty… whatever you’ve got going on.

I love the idea of supporting other locals and keeping things moving without everything being about money all the time.

Unfortunately I’m not taking on a heap of these, just a handful of the right people, right time or people are struggling with their budget, we get it! Same goes 😂

What do you think, can I put miracle worker on my resume after this groom on Mate?

This groom took 3 hours, which included a bath (usually we do 2 shampoos but for Mate we had to do 3 - with extra pumps of shampoo in our dilution bottles!!) the bath took an hour, the dry an hour and the groom an hour 😅

And besides the fact that his groom took a few hours he was the BESTEST boy for the whole groom!! He enjoyed his bath massage and his haircut, had to take a bit of convincing with some treats when I dried his head!

Owner requested a teddy bear trim and I said I’d do my best!
He usually takes about 2 hours but he was a little overdue so it took a bit longer this time 🥰

A little life update from me 🐾

Some exciting news… I’m expecting 💛🍼
(Still feels a bit surreal saying it out loud!)

Because of this, I’ll be making a few small changes to my salon hours over the coming months so I can look after myself while still doing what I love.

New hours will be:

Monday: 12:30 – 6
Tuesday: 10 – 3
Wednesday: 10 – 5
Thursday: 12:30 – 6
Friday: 10 – 3

I’m not going anywhere - just slowing things down a little so I can keep grooming for as long as possible and look after myself without overdoing it.

With slightly reduced hours, spots may fill a bit quicker, so if your pup is due, it’s a good idea to book ahead.

Thank you so much for all the ongoing support and patience whilst I juggle pre-scheduled appointments, it means a lot 🐶

We did this same giveaway last year with 15 entries, this year we had a WHOPPING 49 entries!!! That’s almost triple! I cannot fathom the amount of love we get from our clients and the amazing amount of support and gratitude.
These have been the best 3 years ever and I can’t wait to see the next few years play out!

Such a beautiful place to live!
