A big idea I keep coming back to lately… 🐾✨
Creating a dog rehabilitation and therapy course built around the last 14 years of hands-on knowledge and experience working in the veterinary and rehabilitation industry.

A course that could cover areas such as osteo, acupuncture, rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, movement support, therapy options, and real-life case management — giving vet nurses and therapists extra tools and confidence in practice. 💙
Still in the early planning stages, but it’s something I’m incredibly passionate about and excited to keep exploring.

Love being able to treat vets dogs. In many amazing ways we can support our patients is through acupuncture ✨🐾

A point I love using in treatment is GV20 (Governing Vessel 20). This point is located on the top of the head and is known for helping to calm the nervous system, support anxiety and stress, improve focus, assist with pain management, and help dogs feel more balanced and relaxed during treatment.

It can be especially beneficial for senior dogs, neurological patients, anxious dogs, and rehabilitation cases.

Many vets are now also using the GV20 point area to help with injections and patient comfort due to its calming effects. It’s amazing to see more integrative support being used alongside western veterinary medicine to help improve patient care and wellbeing ❤️🐶

Highly recommend watching this, i see this also.
I have also been noticing a big trend lately around achieving everything “in hand” before taking it to the saddle.
And yes—there is truth in that. Groundwork is incredibly valuable. It builds strength, understanding, and communication.
But here’s what I’m also seeing…
A lot of riders are then struggling once they get on. The connection isn’t quite there. The feel isn’t there. And suddenly all that work doesn’t translate the way they expected.
You can spend months developing beautiful groundwork, but if you can’t feel what the horse’s body is doing underneath you in the saddle, it becomes really hard to continue building strength, balance, and support.
As a animal rehabilitation therapist and rider, I can’t stress this enough—feel matters.
What you’re developing on the ground must also come through under saddle.
Otherwise, it can feel like you’re just going around in circles… or banging your head against a wall.
It’s not about choosing one over the other—it’s about integration.
Groundwork and ridden work should support each other, not exist separately.
That’s where real progress happens.

Sweet Maggie 💛
At 15 years young, Maggie has been fitted into a wheelchair — not because she can’t walk, but because she needs extra support for her balance. I’ve been treating Maggie for a few years now, and seeing her take to her wheels with so much joy has been incredibly rewarding. She loves them, and they’re allowing her to keep walking with support, confidence and comfort.
This is what rehabilitation is all about — supporting mobility, improving quality of life, and helping dogs of all ages keep doing what they love.
We’d love to see more vet clinics embrace support therapy and rehabilitation as part of helping our senior and mobility-challenged dogs live longer, happier lives. With the support of western medicine alongside osteopathy and rehabilitation, we can work so well as a team to give our animals the very best care.
Maggie is proof that age is not the end of movement — with the right support, it can be a new beginning. 🐾

Hi everyone,
Just a quick update to let you know that I’ll be away from next Wednesday the 25th until Wednesday the 1st.

Well miss cherry 🍒 and I for the past 6mths have been incredibly busy as I’ve been training hard for Australia’s Greatest Horsewoman.
It’s been a big juggle balancing work, kids, the farm, and fitting in as much training as possible—but I’ve put in a lot of effort and I’m really excited for this event.

While I’m away, I will still be available to contact, but responses may be a little slower than usual. I’ll get back to everyone as soon as I can. This event is a big one for myself and Miss cherry 🍒. Shes not an easy push button horse, but if she was it wouldnt be as fun. The challenge has been a big one for us and im excited to show off my mare.

Welcome back to the New Year! ✨
It’s been a very busy first week back, with two solid days of dogs and two solid days of horses already under the belt 🐶🐴
I keep meaning to take more horse photos, but once I’m out on the road and working, I get so busy I forget to even grab my phone! I promise I’ll get some horse pics to share at some stage.
Thank you to everyone for such a great start to the year — I’m looking forward to what 2026 brings and continuing to support your animals’ wellbeing 💚

🌡️ Hot Weather Feeding & Hydration for Horses

During hot weather, horses lose significant amounts of salt and fluids through sweat, which can increase the risk of dehydration and colic if not replaced.

🧂 Adding plain salt to the diet helps replace electrolyte losses and encourages horses to drink more water.
🌾 Wetting chaff and hard feeds increases water intake through the gut and reduces the risk of choke.
🌱 Wetting or soaking hay helps keep the digestive system hydrated and can reduce the risk of impaction colic, especially in dry conditions.
💧 Fresh, clean water should always be available and checked daily.

Making small feeding adjustments during warm weather can go a long way in supporting gut health, hydration and overall wellbeing 🐎💙

As the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to all of my amazing clients 🐾🐴🎄✨
Your ongoing support, trust, and belief in what I do allows me to keep learning, growing, and building my knowledge to better support your animals.

This year has been full of incredible achievements — completing my Osteopathic course and finishing my Master Classes in both Canine and Equine Osteopathic 🎓🐶🐴.
I truly couldn’t have done this without your encouragement along the way 🙏❤️
Looking ahead to next year, I’m excited to continue my professional journey with a Training and Assessor course, expanding my skills even further 📚✨
I am now fully booked through to the 24th, after which I’ll be taking a short break to spend time with family and friends 🎁🎉. I’ll be back on the 12th, and the first week is already booking up fast, so don’t wait to secure your appointment 🐾

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎄🎅🥂🎁! Thank you again for an incredible year — I’m so grateful for your support and excited for what’s to come 🤍✨

Miss cherry 🍒 and I are having another crack at the Australia's greatest horsewoman again in 2026
