A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE OG LITTLE MAN IN MY LIFE, STRETCH!

Turning 17 yesterday was a massive milestone for my little dog who managed to bounce back from some severe allergies when he was 10yo 🥰

Each day is truly a gift and I strive to make it the best day for him, whether that's just a cosy day or an adventure day 🤗

I've had to put Stretch aside a fair bit over the past 6m because I've been navigating being a new human mum but I will never forget Stretch's patience and continued excitement for me each day I dragged myself from the trenches (my bedroom) of newborn nights feedings 🤪

There are definitely "better" formulas, but all kibble is cooked and extruded under high heat and pressure.

This leads to proteins being denatured, and left unrecognisable to the dog's body, and nutrients being lost. Hence being added back in at the end of the ingredients list 🫣

Feeding your dog is not as difficult as you think.

A lot of people think you need to buy your dog their own freezer, have a massive meal prep day and buy food you find gross to look at and touch.

Meal prepping and having freezer space is definitely handy - but you don't HAVE to.

There are some "gross" food that may benefit your dog - but you don't HAVE to use them.

It can be a simple as:
- adding a few extra things to the shopping cart
- saving your offcuts while cooking
- buying yourself more healthy food and sharing them with your dog

It can also look like:
- the above and/or
- ordering specific meats online using a good meat supplier like .raw
- buying from butchers who have healthy animal's like
- meal prepping while you're making your own dinner, or weekly, fortnightly, monthly, whatever is convenient for you.
- thawing a premade meal

It doesn't have to be:
- weighing food to the gram
- spending hours searching for specific ingredients
- becoming a scientist
