‘Bad’ behaviour in dogs doesn’t instantly mean they are a ‘bad dog’. Dogs like us need work, stimulation and exercise. And small dogs? They need work too. Boredom and anxiety are big contributors to misbehaviour, whether that’s chewing, barking or running away. Don’t disregard your dog because he didn’t live up to your expectations. You can TEACH him those expectations because he naturally needs a job. Give him that job.
