My idea for this came about as I remember what it was like wanting to travel away for events and not having the transport to get there! Over the past couple of years of being away to events and competitions I have noticed others in the same position that I was, asking for a lift or wishing they could be there and no one w

as able to help. Local and regional events also need our support, numbers are dwindling. Eventually these events will not be run anymore and we will be sitting here wishing they were back.

I will be heading to Rockhampton for NBHA State Show and will have two empty bays heading to Rocky and three heading back to Townsville if anyone is needing any horses shifted.

Been a super reliable truck, travelled all over Queensland in it with just me and Bub and never skipped a beat. Sits up on the speed limit easy and smooth brake application so the horses don’t get thrown around.

I have had this ad up for a while but really haven’t pushed the advertising as I don’t want to sell it. But we aren’t using it as much as we should, so it really has to go. Before she goes we will be replacing the living aircon, it’s ordered and on its way.

Full living, with electric hot water. Drop down double bed frame in horse area and single bed in living area.
Storm covers for the horse area.
Five horse bays with dividers.
Drop down ramp and sliding rear door.
Super reliable easy to drive.
Plenty of storage boxes.

So we have added these extras since we brought the truck:
-Horse Camera and dash cam, with the option to add two extra cameras. Has 12 hour overlap recording.
-UHF.
-Whinch for the rear door and Auxiliary battery setup, complete with resettable breaker and DC to DC charger which can be turned on and off in the cab. The wiring for this is also setup so if you want to remove the crate you can just unplug and undo a wire off the battery.
- Towball.
- Two car seat anchor points, engineered and certified.

Fixed up so far:
- Missing Divider
- Ramp. Reinforced with more steel and replaced the board.

So we have been operating for the best part of the year and I was hoping the business would pick up, but it has not. So it is with great regret to inform you all that we will no longer be offering long distance transport.

We gave it a red hot go but unfortunately it was not enough. I am extremely grateful for all the support and positive feedback! I also feel very lucky to have met so many wonderful people on our journeys.

We will be putting the truck up for sale in the near future, so if anyone knows of anybody who wants a super reliable/ well setup rig then send them my way!

Bub and I have travelled more miles in the last year then I have ever in my entire life! We have spent 12 hours driving and loading horses per day, which for the Brisbane run is four days straight. Then of course the whole setting up camp, looking after the baby, washing bottles, dinner etc etc after the horses were settled in.

In this time the truck and business only made enough to pay for its own expenses eg insurance, fuel and maintenance. That’s right, I was not paying myself for my efforts! Sadly with a family and my own horses this is an unnecessary financial burden on my partner. But that is what running a startup business is all about, sacrifices, long hours and hard work for bu**er all.

I will continue to offer float hire and transport to events locally.

Alrighty, we have a big couple of weeks ahead of us. At the moment we have:

Four bays Townsville to Mount Isa on the 30th of October.
Two/three bays mount Isa to Mackay via Townsville.
31st to Townsville, 2nd November to Mackay and four bays return to Townsville.

Then we will have five bays west again shortly after this trip.
