The most successful show yet!

I took 2 horses, Crofter's Downs Flash Mac and his son Delaney's Valiant Flashback.

~ 🏆 SUPREME OF SUPREME HEAVY HORSE 🏆 ~ (6 entries?)

Mac was an absolute angel as always and did very well during our long reining classes for a first timer.

Valiant on the other hand... The judge loved the conformation and movement of him, as much as he could see, lol. He tried to impersonate a wild brumby stallion mixed with a kite. That boy was flying in the air 😂 Overall though, for a 9-month baby with minimal handling and first time on a float and being off property, he was good (he travelled beautifully and self loaded onto the float).

A huge thank you to Courtney Whittaker for adding the heavy horse feature and to all the sponsors of the show including Abbey Park Shires, Drayhorse Shires, Allure Pest Control and Ranchers Country (sorry if I missed anyone).

Also, a big thank you to the judge for taking the time to teach me the ins and outs and giving tips on what to do in the future 🙌 Also to Julie Norman for helping to keep the classes running.

Excited for next year and hopefully this is something that can continue to grow.

Last weekend I took Crofter's Downs Flash Mac to Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular!

We came home with 2nd place in the 3yr C**t class.

It was great to see all the other heavy horses of all different breeds. And it was also fantastic to finally see Guy Mclean perform his liberty act in person!

I had a good chat with L for Leather about their harness gear and what I will need for Mac in the near future 👍

It was a great day out and there was a huge crowd watching the horses compete.

Next time though, I'll be sure not to forget my show boots 🫠 At least the gumboots were comfortable to spend the day in 😂
