A little bit about M8 racing….
Heath Maclean’s journey in horse racing began at a young age, working alongside his grandfather, a seasoned trainer and jockey. This early exposure ignited a lifelong passion for horses and the racing industry.
After relocating to Melbourne, Heath gained invaluable experience riding trackwork for several prominent trainers. Following a break from racing, he rekindled his love for the sport and returned to the industry around 15 years ago. Since then, he has operated from both Geelong and Wodonga, building up his reputation! 
At M8 Racing, Heath runs a small stable where every horse receives his personal attention. Known for presenting his horses in immaculate and fit condition on race day.
Heath and his team take pride in tailoring training and care programs to suit each horse’s unique needs.

We have acquired a two-year-old gelding  from Matt Laurie Racing, who has spent two months in our stables, showing considerable potential. His first trial at Wodonga is set for August 6. Having had two trials with Matt, he is advancing well. As a big, athletic type, he needs time to develop as he grows and We plan to race him as a mid-three-year-old.
